WHYTHEAT K

A 59% alumina dense castable rated to 1600 °C, cast at 10.6–11.8% water, 2.2 g/cc dried, reaching 400 kg/cm² after firing at 1550 °C. Cone equivalent is Orton 31 / 1683 °C. It is the general-purpose dense grade at this temperature rather than the strongest one.
